Get started with Bryn
Bryn's onboarding is a six-step wizard. Most teams finish it in about 30 minutes, and at the end Bryn is live: watching your traffic, naming signals, and alerting your Slack channel when a qualified account shows up.
Before you start
Check that you have:
- A work email address to sign up with. Your workspace is created from it.
- Edit access to your website's
<head>or to your tag manager, or a developer you can hand one snippet to. - A Slack workspace where you can approve app installs.
The six steps
- 1Create your workspace
Sign up with your work email. Bryn creates a workspace for your company and drops you into the wizard.
You'll know it worked when the wizard greets you inside your new workspace.
- 2Install the pixel
One snippet, site-wide. Paste it into your site's
<head>, add it through Google Tag Manager, or send the instructions to your developer. Nothing else in Bryn works without this step. Full walkthrough: Install the pixel. You'll know it worked when your own visit shows up in Activity in the Bryn dashboard.
- 3Confirm your ideal customer
Bryn proposes an Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) from your website and industry. Review it and adjust what's off. You are editing a draft, not writing from scratch. Details: Define your ICP & scoring.
You'll know it worked when the wizard shows your ICP as confirmed.
- 4Map your signals
Tell Bryn which of your events matter and what to call them, using the sentence builder: when this event happens, raise this signal. Details: Map your signals.
You'll know it worked when a test event shows up as a named signal on an account.
- 5Connect Slack
Authorize the Slack app and pick a channel. Bryn posts a test message on connect, so verification is built in. Details: Connect Slack & other outputs.
You'll know it worked when you see "Test message delivered" and the message is in your channel.
- 6Review and turn on your Plays
Bryn ships with pre-built Plays: automated workflows that act on qualified accounts. Review the ones proposed for you and switch your first one on. Nothing runs until you do. Details: Turn on Plays.
You'll know it worked when the Play shows as active, and the first matching account produces a Slack alert.
What happens next
Bryn runs on its own from here. On day two, look at:
- Accounts: companies from your traffic, scored and ranked by buying intent.
- Activity: every Play run and what triggered it.
- Your Slack channel: alerts arrive as matching accounts show up.
A good second win is on-page personalization: the pixel you already installed can also tailor your site for identified visitors. Start with the Personalization recipes.
