Define your ICP and scoring
The score decides which accounts Bryn bothers you about. A wrong Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) means alerts about companies you would never sell to; a good one means your Slack channel stays worth reading.
Confirm your ICP
During onboarding, Bryn proposes an ICP from your website and industry. You review and adjust rather than write from scratch. After onboarding it lives in Configuration, then ICP, in the Bryn dashboard.
The ICP describes the company you sell to: industry, size, region, stage. Bryn compares every identified account against it, so edit the fields that are wrong and leave the rest alone.
You'll know it worked when the wizard shows your ICP as confirmed, and the Accounts list starts ranking companies you recognize as good fits near the top.
How scoring works
Bryn scores every account on three axes and blends them:
| Axis | The question it answers |
|---|---|
| Fit | Does this company look like your ICP? |
| Intent | Is it behaving like a buyer: pricing visits, repeat sessions, high-intent signals? |
| Timing | Is it happening now, or was that last month? |
| Composite | The blend of the three. Plays usually trigger on this one. |
Scores are explainable: for any account you can see which signals and attributes produced the number. The score is never sent to your website; on-page personalization reacts to who the visitor is and what they did, not to a number.
Your value proposition
One short paragraph, in your voice, describing what you offer and to whom. Bryn uses it when drafting outreach text, so write it the way you would want a prospect to read it. It lives alongside the ICP in Configuration.
Leave the defaults alone (at first)
The default scoring weights are good. Change them after you have watched a week of real traffic, not before. When you do review, look for two things:
- Accounts scored high that your team would ignore. Usually a Fit problem: tighten the ICP.
- Accounts your team chased that Bryn scored low. Usually an Intent problem: check whether the behaviour that convinced your team is mapped as a signal at all.
Weights live in Configuration, then Scoring Weights.
